Meet the Penicks they are from Habersham County and have a home on Lake Hartwell. They enjoy bring the two little one down to Hartwell because lake Hartwell is less crowded than most of the other lakes around. They also have a lake home on Lake Burton but often choose Hartwell for the vacation spot because it is secluded.

They enjoy boating around the lake and the little ones enjoy swimming on a hot summer day. Hartwell feels like home to the Penicks because it is only 45 minutes away from home. When they are at the lake they feel like they are on vacation. Most of the time friends and family will join them for a cook out at the lake.

Meet the Fords. They moved to Hartwell from Tucson about a year ago.
They enjoy the weather here because you get to experience each season. They love the green trees and beautiful flowers. Back home there was not much greenery just desert. They enjoy seeing all of the different wildlife.

Hartwell is centrally located near Atlanta, Greenville, and Athens this makes an easy commute for there out of town activates. Their daughter attends a local elementary school. They spend a great deal of time enjoying local activities. The Fords describe Hartwell as “Small Town Charm”
